I used the default "head" template-mesh in Mudbox and just sculpted from there and painted it.

Model built in Maya, then sculped/painted detail, as well as extracted normal maps and textures in Mudbox. Also rendered in Mudbox. Touched up textures in Photoshop.
"T-Rex"

Personal Piece: Mudbox T-Rex Template sculpted into representational T-Rex. My first Mudbox experience. I love this program. It's very intuitive and thinks like a sculptor. Inside of one hour of downloading the trial version of Mudbox, I was already sculpting. (hear that Pixologic folks? Might wanna reconsider your ZBrush UI development) I took a snapshot of the model and painted over it in photoshop for kicks.

Sony Online Entertainment - Built and textured in Maya. Ambient Occlusion texture maps done in XSI. Done for unreleased PS3 title: "The Agency."
